Our stay at Lemon Tree in Gangtok was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick and efficient. The food was great - no complains at all. The view of the hills from the balcony is breathtaking. In addition, one of us forgot a few of our belongings back in the hotel after checking out, but the staff was very proactive in informing us and arranging for us to receive our belongings back safely. Overall, the hotel is very honest, comfortable, and worth staying at.
Service by staff is excellent. During the PM visit, the staff ensured Taxis left before 6AM and to compensate had also arranged the breakfast buffet at 4 AM for the travelers convenience. Strongly recommended.
WORST Experience at Lemon Tree Hotel Some issues faced: Location: Substandard, with nothing nearby. Rooms: Nothing particularly special or luxurious. Food: Cyclic menu needs improvement; some days were overly spicy, while others seemed more suitable for hospitalized patients. Pool: Dirty and smelly, possibly due to chlorine overdose, with no caretaker present. Service: Limited staff, with guests sometimes having to handle tasks like loading luggage themselves. I appreciate the senior staff's efforts to rectify issues and go the extra mile, especially in arranging off-menu items for kids. The souvenir store inside the hotel was also a nice touch. However, the overall experience fell short of Lemon Tree's standards There's significant room for improvement to meet Lemon Tree's usual standards.
