Wow, where do we even begin? This is the hotel with the highest level of service we've ever experienced, and there's no doubt that from now on, this will be the hotel we return to every single time we come to Cyprus! First of all – Tamara, the guest relations manager, is simply amazing. She helped us from the very first moment at the hotel – always kind, always smiling, and always ready to help with anything. We truly felt like we gained a friend, and we felt completely comfortable consulting with her and asking for help. We got married on one of the days during our vacation, and she helped make the day incredibly special with decorations in the room in our honor and even helped us find a stunning bridal bouquet. The hotel is absolutely luxurious – it has everything you could want, and all the staff are always smiling and genuinely provide the highest level of service. The entertainment was great, from pool activities and games during the day to great local artists in the evenings. The food is just wow – from the dining room to the various restaurants in the hotel, including the snack bar at the pool where you order from a menu and they prepare it fresh on the spot! Occasionally, bartenders would walk around handing out shots to guests. The cocktails are indulgent and fun, and the bar staff will make you anything you ask for. We also had access to the lounge, which was great – offering snacks throughout the day. The room was super clean and modern – cleaned daily with fresh towels provided every day. We can't emphasize enough how incredible and kind Tamara and all the staff are!!! We’ll be back next year and bring the whole family!
We had a wonderful stay at Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel & Spa. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed, greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, which was a lovely touch. Although we arrived well before our official check-in time, we were given our bracelets right away, allowing us to enjoy all the hotel facilities while waiting for our room. One of the highlights was the access to the premium lounge, where we could relax with a selection of premium alcoholic drinks and canned fizzy beverages, a great addition to our experience. The staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and eager to assist. The food was also a standout, fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious at every meal. If we had to point out one downside, it would be the temperature of the swimming pool water, it was quite cold, and it would be lovely if the management could consider heating it. Additionally, we weren’t informed that our bracelets allowed us to reserve the same sunbeds for the entire stay, which would have been good to know earlier. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!
We had high expectations for our stay at this resort, but unfortunately, it fell far short of what one would reasonably expect from a 5-star property. We originally booked a front sea view room on the fifth floor as per confirmation, and while we were told we had been upgraded, the room we received didn’t feel like an upgrade at all. It was outdated, on the second floor with seaside view poorly maintained. The sofa in the living room were worn, and the small, old television was unacceptable for a 5 star hotel while in these days even 3 star hotel have a smart TV in the room. Cleanliness was another major issue. The corridors were not clean, and the room itself felt neglected. Basic services were missing — for example, there was no iron in the room, and we were told to go to another floor to iron our clothes. That is not acceptable in a hotel claiming to be 5-star. The dining experience was equally disappointing. The buffet had very limited choices, and most of the service was self-serve — even for drinks. No one came around to check on guests or offer assistance, and we constantly found ourselves queuing for everything doing the job that normally hotel should have waiters to assist. To be honest, we truly don’t understand how this hotel has received such high ratings. Based on our experience, it falls well short of the standards expected of a 5-star resort. This property is in desperate need of renovation and a serious upgrade in both facilities and service. Until then, we cannot recommend it.
