Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice Mestre

I had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice for a couple of nights earlier this year, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in many ways. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They took the time to clearly explain everything I needed to know and were more than happy to assist with recommendations and directions to the city’s main attractions. Their genuine willingness to help made a big difference in my overall experience. The restaurant staff were equally courteous and professional, creating a pleasant atmosphere during meals. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a generous variety of food and beverages. Considering Venice’s reputation as a tourist hotspot, the price of €12 felt like excellent value for money. The room was moderately sized—not overly spacious, but thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Amenities included a small coffee machine, complimentary bottled water, and other essentials. While there wasn’t an iron or ironing board in the room, these were available on the first floor, conveniently located near a well-equipped gym. The presence of several lifts also made moving around the hotel easy and efficient. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which allowed for restful sleep. The location of the hotel is another major plus—it’s within walking distance of bus stops, the train station, numerous restaurants, and the city centre, making it an ideal base for exploring Venice. An added bonus is that the hotel offers free entry to Venice, which is a fantastic perk. Guests just need to fill out a simple form to take advantage of this benefit. Overall, my stay at Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice was a wonderful experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Great hotel for visiting Venice! The staff were great and room was immaculate. Very happy with the amenities we also added in breakfast for a day and it was fantastic. The train station is walking distance as well as various restaurants. Good choice in staying here instead of Venice, very easy. Would recommend!

We chose this hotel because of its location. It's a simple 5 minutes stroll to Mestre train station so it's ideal for quick access to Venice (10 minutes to San Lucia station) or all across northern Italy. The airport express bus stop is even closer. Despite its location it is really quiet. The comfortable bed in our room certainly facilitates a full recharge after a day of walking while visiting many towns within 1 hour train journeys. The buffet breakfast is very good value and a perfect way to start your active day of sightseeing.
