Los Diamantes, Maximo is a great stay for families or groups. The space was clean, well-maintained, and as described. The host was responsive, and amenities worked well. Tip: Allow a few seconds for hot water. The A/C worked throughout except in the king-bed room at base of stairs, where it failed again after a repair. The kitchen was well-equipped but lacked a nonstick pan. The location in Casco Viejo was ideal and felt safe. Beds were comfortable, and the value was great. Expect some evening music—earplugs help. There are 52 steps, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues, and luggage must be carried up. Suggestions: Clarify door instructions, add bathroom hooks, provide extra towels, ensure an iron and board are available, and communicate laundry usage limits. Overall, a great stay with minor improvements needed!

We spent 2 nights at Los Diamantés and loved the location (easy walking to so many things), the bedrooms were spacious, comfortable beds, and the side balcony and rooftop seating area was nice to enjoy. The ceilings in the 3 bedroom unit were a little low and natural light is limited inside. You are staying in a very popular area for loud music and clubs so bring your ear plugs. It didn’t keep us from having a great stay.

We stayed in the rental unit Maximo. The location is great if your plan is to be in the center of the city plaza and shops! The home was spacious and the upper balcony is a benefit for large groups who want some fresh air to chat and hang out. Important Details: No elevator and a lot of stairs. Not a great pick for elderly, disabled or anyone unable to carry heavy luggage. If you don't like city noise then this is NOT the place for you. My husband loves city noise so he was fine. I used earplugs and I was good. No privacy from neighboring restauraunt into terrace bedroom if curtain is open. No TV in bedrooms only in main living room. Kitchen has basic dishes and utensils but could improve on quality of a basic frying pan. A couple of bakeries close by, a Starbucks and another coffee shop, a small is supermarket less than a 10 min walk, restauraunts and a central Plaza. Cleanliness: 3. The sofas need to be cleaned. Beautiful but soiled. The rest of the home was above average in cleanliness with a few areas requiring attention. Amenities: 2. No blow dryer. No ironing board until our trip was almost complete. No Keurig. Very challenging to get support for air conditioner that wasn't working or the iron board. There really should be someone available at all times for quality service. Hot water available, but the faucet on balcony floor is tricky. You have to turn it somewhere in the middle to find the hot temp. A plumber should fix the shower handle to accurately select hot vs. Cold water. Bed is very low. Mattress is average. Sheets below average. A couple of outlets. No space to store clothes in balcony room. Highly recommend they invest at the very least a wardrobe closet for the room. I don't know that I would recommend the place to a friend but it wasn't a bad place. Just not one I'm particularly fond of. The place has a lot of potential. With improvements I think this could place could be recommended.
