You know you are in for a treat as soon as you pull off the main highway, cross the tiny bridge, and wind your way up the entrance to the friendliest smile waiting to greet you. As a Gilmore Girl fan, I chose this property to experience the small town charm and cozy atmosphere. Wow, did it deliver!! The grounds are gorgeous, the restaurants are incredible, but above all, the people that work at The Mayflower Inn are by far the best part of the experience, Eric in particular. They go so far above and beyond to make your time comfortable and memorable. I wish I could give them 10 Stars 🌟
We only stopped in and checked the hotel out. The valet guys were very personable and kind. The hotel and property is over the top beautiful. A bit out of my price range but you get what you pay for. It's worth a visit or stay if you are up to it, for sure.
I wanted to reach out to share our recent experience at your restaurant at the Mayflower Hotel, which unfortunately left us very disappointed. July 9th evening. We visited from Hudson specifically to dine with you and were seated outdoors. Despite the heat, it took over 30 minutes before we were even offered water, and it was never refilled. Our server took our drink order, but the drinks never arrived. After a long wait, we followed up, and he ran inside and returned visibly upset, saying he had to yell at the indoor staff. When the drinks finally came, they were incorrect, but at that point we drank them anyway. He later told us, “between you and me, the inside staff is very difficult,” which felt extremely unprofessional. Throughout our visit, his tone with us and nearby tables was erratic and loud. To be honest, we were concerned something else might be going on, as his behavior seemed very off. We eventually received two appetizers after a long delay and ultimately decided to leave. our intention was to order dinner, a bottle of wine and desserts but at this point we gave up. The server never returned, so I had to go to the kitchen door to request our check myself. We paid for what was supposed to be a special experience—and we left deeply dissatisfied. We made the drive from Hudson, while we were in town from Colorado, just to dine with you, and we’re very disappointed by what unfolded.
