Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens

Our stay was delightful, but the best part was all of the staff encountered. Our breakfasts were delightful on all 3 mornings, made all the better by Archie(?) on the buffet. The ladies on the front desk over the weekend were terrific, especially the lady (didn't catch name sorry!) on both the Sunday and Monday mornings, extra helpful. Amazing location, close to everything, lovely lounge area. Only issue is the bugs, but having the bug spray was a nice help with this. Room was lovely and clean, and we appreciated our anniversary bottle of sparkling in the fridge!

We had a recent one-night stay. We have stayed here several times, and this time was no exception to previous stays - a welcoming, clean and comfortable place to spend time in the Hunter Valley. Many things to do in the nearby areas. The room was very comfortable and well maintained. The log fire going in the foyer is so nice on a cold winter's night.

Disappointing stay. First room smelt like sewerage and the second room offered had a broken heater. It was winter and cold. Finally relocated to a better room. Bed and shower were comfortable. Checked in at 7:30pm but was unable to purchase any bottled water at bar. Only soft drink available was Fanta. Weird. Supermarket miles away. Ended up getting soda water but was charged $10. No mini bar on rooms. Great location but motel old and tired. Would not stay again
