Mersu Hotel is a hidden gem in Kartepe! The location is stunning with a waterfall running right through the property, and the views are breathtaking. The staff were incredibly kind—always welcoming us with a smile. We were lucky to get upgraded in two rooms by the lovely manager(my family four members)who also offered beautiful colonia scents for sale. Bakr, Mohamed, and the whole team were helpful, even serving us late at night. The outdoor coffee area adds the perfect touch to this clean, peaceful escape.
From the very first moment I walked into Mersu ALA Hotel, I didn’t feel like I was entering a hotel, I felt like I was being welcomed into someone’s home. Zahra and her husband, the kind-hearted owners, along with every single staff member, treat you with a level of warmth, care, and genuine hospitality that is beyond words. Their kindness is simply breathtaking. They are the kind of people you thought no longer existed in today’s world, truly selfless, generous, and always putting your comfort first. Here, your happiness genuinely matters more than anything else, including money. They go above and beyond, with no expectations in return, just to see you smile. They even helped us exchange money when we couldn’t find an exchange office nearby, nothing is ever too much to ask, and you truly feel like you’re reaching out to family, not hotel staff. The room was extremely comfortable, with perfectly cold air conditioning (a must in summer!) and spotlessly clean floors, not carpeted like most hotels, but incredibly pristine and fresh. You can tell they take pride in every detail. The only downside is the slightly weak phone and Wi-Fi signal in the area, but honestly, the kindness and authenticity of the people here make that completely irrelevant. It’s a small trade-off for the experience you get in return. I will definitely be coming back again and again. This is not just a place to stay, this is a place to feel human again.
We stayed this hotel for 3 nights with my 3 kids and we all loved it. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good (different ways to cook eggs, cucumber, tomato, crepes, bread, simit, turkish tea, olives, home made jams, butter, honey, turkish coffee, ...), owners were very friendly (she offered bigger room as a suit with 2 rooms and it was very comfortable), and the nature of that area is wonderful. Around the hotel, there were several restaurants and the food was tasty and the price is same as others. The owner, she also helped us to get a discount in Maxfun amusement park (it was 30% off for all activities 👍). They have a private parking, so you don't need to worry about it.
