The hotel feels like home, and here is why. The food is delicious, the service is always great, they take care of you and anything you need. The room was extraordinary, so cozy and clean with spacious windows. I am looking forward to come back soon!
The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and the setting is truly beautiful – a peaceful, charming place with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, that potential is not fully realized. For the high price, we expected a room that was not only stylish but also clean and functional. Sadly, it was neither. The room was not very clean, and the bathroom setup was unacceptable: there is no door separating the shower and toilet from the room, which means everything – smells, steam, and sounds – spreads directly throughout the space. Breakfast was very minimal – well-intentioned, but far from satisfying. We actually had to go out and get additional food elsewhere. As hotel experts who have stayed all around the world, we must say: this place does not live up to its reputation.
Actual rating: 3.5/5 We decided to stay at this place based on the outstanding reviews. It is quite obvious (based on the books found in the small library of the hotel) that the owners have a strong interest in the architecture and design. Our room was large and spatious (under a tall roof) and with a comfortable bed. The room certainly met the expectations for a "boutique hotel". During our stay, the owners were on the holiday and we were accomodated by an employee, who was very nice and corteous. Breakfast was very good with some local ingredients and there was an option to have some scrambled/sunny-side-up eggs made. Dinner was served on our first night of stay, but was not offered on the second night due to the lack of more interested guests. This was funny, because the employee previously said that the owner of the hotel cooks dinner even if there are only 2 people interested. The one dinner we had consisted of one course, at a price of 21 Eur per person and was tasty. An ice cream was offered after the dinner, which I thought was included in the price of the dinner. It wasn't. This is a small thing, of course, but should have been communicated beforehand. Hotel also offers a selection of good wines, but beware, somewhat overpriced. We bought two wines and both had more than 100% surcharge to the original price of the wine producer. But the most bitter moment for me was the fact that you have to actually pay for a small cup of coffee that you have to make yourself from a capsule coffee machine. The price is not high (1.7 Eur), but come on, I already paid 250 Eur per night! Of course, I am more than willing to pay, if there is someone to make me a good coffee and serve me. Overall, it may seem that my score is a bit harsh, but this is not a 2-star hotel for 80 Eur per night and the details matter much more here. I praise the owners for their work on the hotel design and wish them and the staff many happy customers.
