The Michamvi Sunset Bay is simply beautiful. One might say that the price is perhaps a bit higher, but the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and the facility itself are unbeatable. We booked a snorkeling tour from nice local guys walking along the beach, it was really wonderful. Of course, all tours can also be booked directly through the hotel. However, a brokerage surcharge is required here.

Am Originally from Zanzibar, owner of a Restaurant in munich Germany. I bought a peace of Land in michamvi,just Behind this Hotel. I have a Very very Bad experience there!NOT ONCE! They dont Allow Africans,Black people,Zanzibaris or i guess people of colour to Enter the Hotel and Buy anything like Coffee or Any Drinks as i Tried to get To go Cappucino many Times when i pass through the michamvi beach during my vacation .But The Massai security tried to stop me,as he always said that the policy of the hotel is not to Allow the Outsiders to Enter the Bar!...Who are the Outsidders?I will foward this Issue to Ministry of Tourism in Zanzibar and Tanzania,As i cannot take this behaviour of Apartied like South Africa back in the Slavery Days! As Zanzibari with German passport,who knows his Right,i Promise to Deal with this issue a very Seriously I CONDEM THIS RACISIST HOTEL ! ITS a shame on you and your Unfreindly Staff!
