Millenium Popo Beach Hotel

The hotel is located at Grand Popo in Benin 🇧🇯 Republic . The hotel looks quite beautiful from the outside and clean inside, when I visited I noticed only two security men were stationed at the gate of the hotel . The hotel is also located by the road side [Grand Popo-Cotonou road]. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood although by the roadside but the main hotel buildings are quite far from the main road!

Millennium Popo Beach Hotel is one of those places that stirs your expectations the moment you approach it. The grandeur is unmistakable. It stands like a mirage in the distance, hinting at luxury and promise. But get a little closer, and the shine begins to fade. The structure itself is impressive, and there’s no denying it was built to be a statement. You feel traces of what must have once been a thriving, elegant resort. Today, though, it carries the weight of a good past and a fading present. The rooms are basic, and the amenities have clearly seen better days. It felt empty, almost like walking through a space time forgot. On the brighter side, the meals were decent, and the staff carried themselves with genuine warmth. They seemed determined to make guests feel welcome, even if the surroundings struggled to match their efforts. Verdict: A sleeping giant. The bones of something special are still there, but it desperately needs new life. Worth a stop if you’re curious about its history or want to see what once was, but manage your expectations.

Visited here about 5 years ago. I recall one of my colleagues experienced a theft and we had to go to the police station. Planning to visit again with a team for a week and was considering the location. The reviews I have read are scary. I guess we'll pass. I hope they'll let the world know when they change management and offer better services.
