We LOVED our stay at Moxons! Quiet and low-key, just how we like it. Carlton was very responsive and took good care of us. Our key to success was telling Carlton what we wanted to eat at our next meal and what time and then he had it ready for us! Minimal waiting so we could get back out to the beach. The view was amazing and we enjoyed snorkeling off of the resort!

I stayed here 2 nights during a work trip. The environment and the house/bangalos are nice by themselves and the view on the sea is really nice. However, this "hotel" gives the feeling it has been let down by the owner and lacks a bit of love. Where this lack of love is mostly felt are: 1. The rooms. The room I had (101), was cozy, however the main door had a thin gap that was just large enough to let mosquitos in at night. The room had lights that didn't work, so overall the room is dark. The bathroom could be nice, but the toilet bowl was not stable and not clean upon arrival. The toilet had water refill issues which made it impossible to flush at times for half a day. The water pressure of the shower was very weak. During day times, the pressure was so low, that I couldn't use the shower at all. 2. Room amenities were inexistent. 2 small physical soaps were given, one to wash hands, the other one to "use" as shower gel and shampoo. I had my own shower gel and shampoo, you better take your own as well. Towels were stained. They were clean, but I would replace towels if they were stained. No water bottles provided. 3. Food selection for breakfast, lunch or dinner were very scarse. For all 3 times, you only had à-la-carte choices, which were very limited and not tasty. Portions were small. 4. Service was good, you could feel that the staff tried to help but they were extremely slow, especially to cook/serve food. For bf, we waited 1h for french toast, a coffee and a fake orange juice. We were the only 3 customers, the hotel way empty otherwise. Considering the price of the stay, one could definitely expect more and I think above mentioned negatives are not acceptable at that price point. Overall it could be a great place if it was given some more love by the owner and amenities were updated, as well as the staff and kitchen improved.

This place definitely has potential. Appears that Covid has really impacted business here. The views are spectacular!!!, however there is NO hot water, no bar, no restaurant (request for chef 24 hours in advance), nowhere close by to sit and eat, rooms are ok for the night, mattress hard as a rock (woke up on and off with a stiff neck), pillows flat. AC works great. Refrigerator very cool. 1-2 staff. Allowed us to swim in the pool 30mins after closing. That was nice. This may be good for a “new” couple who wants to spend loads of time ALONE. Secluded. This place needs a bit of work. I see the owners efforts but not enough for me personally. Update After reaching out to the host, she graciously allowed us to leave early with a partial refund.
