The food at Hotel MPM Astoria was absolutely amazing! Every meal was fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. The kitchen staff truly go above and beyond — so professional and passionate. With a team like this, the hotel honestly deserves 5 stars just for the food alone. A fantastic culinary experience that really made our stay special!

My honest opinion about Astoria is a total disappointment. I was there 3 years ago and nothing has changed, the schedule is confusing, from the bar opening hours to the pool opening. It's completely annoying that you can't see the sunrise with a coffee because everything opens at 7:30 a.m., and the access road from the pool to the beach is locked at exactly the times you need it most (the gate opens at 9:00 a.m. to go out on the cliff, and the gate closes at 6:00 p.m., completely absurd). The quality of the drinks also leaves something to be desired, I don't focus on quality but on quantity, if I were to re-evaluate this hotel, it would definitely not receive 4 stars but only 3 stars maximum like its brother Orel. The most likely theft is at the parking lot and at the early check-in, because the actual hotel parking lot is occupied all the time and you have to pay a lot extra and take the car 1-2 km away, and the lady at the reception doesn't know how to pronounce the numbers in English, leaving it to be understood that the amount I have to pay for the early check-in is 15, not 50 as I was charged.

Hardly a 4* hotel. Aside from 'minor' issues like weak internet; no hot water after ~9p.m.; shower water barely draining down for half an hour; climate control turned off at night and early in the morning; monotonous breakfasts; bad coffee; poor cocktails due to cheap liquor; gloomy and kind of irritated receptionist at 4a.m., there are positive points as well (like fair room service, smiling and polite staff in general and theme-styled dinners). However, what made me leave a review is the fact that when it's time for me to check-out, not a single elevator is working. Do I really have to drag all my belongings by hand and foot down the staircase, evading people ascending? Ridiculous. P.S. seagulls are awesome. They flirt with you while you dine, and it's the best entertainment out there in Astoria :D
