Muthu Playa Varadero

I have been to Cuba before but first time in this resort. The building is old but the room I was in was kept clean by our maid. The towels given were new and will be changed once you leave a note to your cleaning lady or leave it on the floor, beds were made everyday. Elevator doesnt work but the building has only 5 floors so can’t complain about that. I didnt come to Cuba for food and I understand that it’s a scarce, but just being honest thats it’s buffet food has been repetitive. Also the fact that food is a scarce, maybe the cooks in this hotel must learn how to cook the food better and properly to avoid wasting it. My 7 days stay, I kept seeing food being served raw. Electricity wise, this hotel keeps up with maintaining our room AC running cold which I appreciate alot. Workers are nice and hospitable and works hard. They have good coffee at the coffee bar. The disco place smells moldy. Lobby is being renovated as of this writing, washroom in the hotel lobby has a pungent smell. On weekends, a lot of locals come here and takes over the place which I find it unfair for people who goes in this resort and pays more than them, so if youre fuzzy don’t stay here. I dont have issues with them but one thing that I noticed is that they take so much food and leaving almost nothing to other people who are lining up to get food at the buffet, and to my dismay, I seen them dumping it in a plastic and putting it in their bag to take it home. Being hungry is not a reason to be greedy. The beach is stunning, but lots of mosquitoes at night so bring repellants.

The bugs in my room wasn't very cool especially the cockroach in the bathroom. 4 days into my trip A hotel manager stuck their nose in where it didn't belong. Causing a fight with me and my fiance. She left me because of that jerk. The manager caused me such heartache and sadness. I honestly want to have words with him. The Food and drinks were great 👍 on the resort.

EVERYTHING WAS TERRIBLE! First we start off the night with dirty bed sheets, ants in the bathrooms, and the toilet not flushing. Then later when me and my family went to go get food the service was HORRIBLE (same thing with the food). Even when we were checking out all the employees were rude. Also when we were checking out it took forever. When we got to our rooms to go to sleep, my sister had noticed that there was bedbugs and LICE. We went to the lobby trying to go someplace else and get a refund, but they aren’t letting us and they are making us waiting until the next day.
