Newpark Hotel

We had a fantastic stay at Newpark, thanks so much to the team for the warm welcome and their attentiveness throughout. The carpark was busy, but we were able to find a space with little effort. The check-in process was smooth and the team member was helpful and friendly. There's only one lift, but the hotel has 4 floors, so you're rarely waiting for long. Our room was quiet, comfortable, clean, and had great views of the dinosaur park situated near the hotel. The bed was nicely firm, although the sheets felt a little too small and needed to be tucked back in each morning. The bathroom was clean and spacious, with a small selection of great-smelling toiletries. The shower is powerful and is easy to control, but it will soak the floor, no matter what direction the shower head is pointing! We got in the habit of making a little dam of towels at the edge of the shower tray to keep the water in. We ate at Scott's Bistro, situated next to the reception, and had some fabulous off-menu vegetarian steak. The woman looking after the floor couldn't have been more helpful. Kilkenny town centre is a 20/30 minutes walk away, or a short taxi ride. Overall, we had a brilliant time at the Newpark Hotel, and will definitely be back again (and again).

We stayed here last night and had the most incredible experience from start to finish. The staff were so lovely and accommodating! We had food in the hotel and it was delicious (highly recommend the curry!). We stayed in one of the Jacuzzi suites, which felt like a real treat - would definitely recommend! Before heading off, we popped into the Jurassic Newpark attraction on-site, which looks like a brilliant day out for families with kids. Overall, a fantastic stay and we’d absolutely come back again!

I attended a luncheon here. The set menu did not align with my dietary restrictions, but the staff was super friendly and they gave me alternative dishes for each course that suited. Amazing service and really delicious as well!
