Great little hotel, and the staff was super nice. The coffee at breakfast cost extra unless you wanted instant, and the bathroom door in our room was broken, so you could only open it from the outside. That was a bit risky since there wasn't a phone in there. You could get stuck for ages if you are alone. Other than that, all good.

Stay away from this hotel. I booked this hotel months in advance at a very reasonable price for a 3-night stay. Just one week before my trip, after the prices had gone up, the hotel cancelled my reservation without any valid reason. This is a disgusting and dishonest practice. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. If you do, be very careful—they may cancel your booking to resell at a higher price. ———————————————— AFTER YOUR REPLY I booked this hotel through Booking.com well in advance, and my reservation clearly stated “pay at the property.” I contacted Booking’s customer service not once, but three times, and each time they confirmed that my booking and payment information were complete and valid, and that the cancellation was made by the hotel, not due to any issue on my end. In fact, Booking also contacted the hotel directly and reconfirmed that there was no issue with my card or payment — because I was supposed to pay upon arrival. Despite this, the hotel still chose to cancel my booking just days before my stay, when the room prices had gone up significantly. The timing speaks for itself. What’s even more disturbing is that I am not the only guest who experienced this. Others have reported the same issue, where bookings were cancelled under questionable excuses, likely so the hotel could re-sell the rooms at higher prices. Instead of taking responsibility, your response attempts to shift the blame to the guest, making it sound like I failed to pay or respond — which is simply untrue and frankly offensive. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, it’s dishonest. I strongly advise future guests to be cautious. This hotel does not honor confirmed reservations and may cancel them at the last minute for their own gain.

Have booked many hotels over last 10 years with hotels.com with no problems. Booked this hotel weeks in advance with hotels.com. Selected option to pay at hotel with free cancellation ( for extra price), 3 days before arrival I get email from hotel to say booking cancelled. No prior communication or explanation why (checked junk mail too). Checked hotels own website as thought maybe it had suddenly closed or accident had happened. No......but they were now booked out for the dates of my holiday. Contacted hotels.com to ask for explanation. They confirmed the hotel had cancelled the booking and that they would contact the hotel to find out why. After couple of days, hotels.com apologised and said that this hotel were not responding to their queries. Just to be clear- I held this booking with my credit card (including the 3 digits on the back of the card) and I did everything that I was asked as I usually do with many other hotels with no problems. I see that other reviews have had the same problem as me, so I should have checked the reviews before! Be aware of booking this hotel or risk paying alot more for other accommodation if they cancel at such a late stage with no prior notice, explanation or apology!
