Such a great stay. Good balance of everything required from the room with access to shared spaces and vittles (iron etc). Community environment with friendly atmosphere. Well equipped gym. Would stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Helsinki

We booked a wonderful corner studio apartment on the 9th floor and we are so glad we did. Our 10-days there were highly enjoyable. Noli Sornainen is a comfortable, warm, quiet, and well-appointed place to stay, especially for those wishing to cook in their own studio - or on level 2 in the well-equipped communal cooking area. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the views are great from the upper floors. The panoramic views from the 12th floor deck are spectacular on a fine day. Sornainen is extremely well served by the Metro, tram, and bus network, and the HSL Android app will allow you to plan and execute your daily travels with ease. There are three small, but well stocked food markets within 3 minutes walk, with one right next door. Both S-Market and K-Market have great food options for all. There are many restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance, and loads of bars if that's your thing. The bed was firm, but comfortable, with a bamboo mattress topper or similar. The bedding materials are high quality. The curtains are heavy, and work well to keep out the light in summer. It will be light when you go to bed, and light again before you wake up. The small tap on your kitchen bench controls the water to the dishwasher. If the dishwasher beeps repeatedly it's because the tap is turned off. Simply turn on the tap. The rooms are nicely and quietly air conditioned, but the minimum temperature is just 22C. We were delighted to have a large front-loading washing machine in our bathroom, so we could clean our clothes, and hang them to dry in the room, on the provided drying rack. If you come from outside the EU, make sure you bring at least two power-conversion plugs, and a multi-plug board for all your electronic devices, as we did, otherwise you won't be able to keep all your devices and appliances charged and running nicely. Very strangely, there are no hair driers in any of the rooms. There are 8 locations where supposedly communal hair driers can be found, but you won't find one. We asked at the front desk and they gave us a new one, which we returned at the end of our stay. Thank you! There are plenty of ironing boards and irons available - if you want to look neat and presentable after you have unpacked. There was plenty of clothes hanging space in our large studio, but you'll want to bring a few extra coat hangers - as with most hotels. The house-keeping staff were always efficient, and our room was always clean and tidy. They will happily provide extra towels if you want them. The shower water pressure is good, and the bathroom floors are heated, so always keep the bathroom door closed in summer, to prevent the bathroom heating fighting against the air conditioning. We liked the multi-rubbish system in the hotel, and we felt right at home being able to nicely divide our rubbish into food waste, recycling, burnables, and land fill, which you take down to the 2nd floor basement area. We loved having no TV or telephone in our studio. The in-house WiFi is strong, and we used a lot of data.. We really appreciated the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and people at Noli, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you so much for having us. 10/10 - Thoroughly recommended.

Very nice accomodation. Everything is quite new and common areas are great. If I had to stay in Helsinki for a couple of months, up to a year or so, and could afford it, I think it would be perfect.
