Nya Hotel

Overall a pleasant experience. A bit pricey, but the grounds were beautiful, and even though you felt like you were in the middle of the jungle, the beach and town were only 100 metres away. Lots of amenities. Our room was small but nice, and had a very relaxing terrace in the back. Breakfast was provided from a large selection and was delicious. Staff were courteous. They even delivered a bottle of champagne to our room for our anniversary at no charge, which we thought was a nice touch. A few complaints though. - We had no hot water for most of our stay. - There is no obvious entrance for parking, so we drove around confused for a while. - The first day, we left our room with the temperature set to 27, and both doors locked. When we returned, the temperature was set to 19 and the terrace door was unlocked. - Our towels were a bit tattered for the price of the hotel. Even though this hotel is probably the nicest in Montezuma, it's also the priciest. However, we did enjoy our stay here, so if you want to treat yourself a bit while in Montezuma, I do recommend it.

Not worth it! This hotel is depressing. Much too expensive for what they offer. A king room on the groundfloor (called by them the first floor) is a small white box with bad quality furniture and not even enough room to put a chair. You have no view, and it is so dark that you have to get all the lights on during the day. You hear all the neighbours moving and talking. And if you think of upgrading to a terrace or balcony room, forget it, it is full of very aggressive mosquitoes, day and night. The repellent that they put in your room is useless. And do not dare to smoke on your balcony, they'll give you a fine of 250 $!

Was underwhelmed for sure. Not a friendly staff. The hotel was very slow due to rainy season, maybe 2-3 rooms taken it appeared. We were put in a very small closet of a room with a view of their laundry room and asked for a change since we were the only ones around but were told had to pay 50% more, and he seemed bothered by the request. Restaurant staff also seemed bothered by our breakfast attendance. Seemed liked no one wanted to be there. Opted for other meals elsewhere due the negative vibe there.
