Ocean Manor

A great resort. Clean, well maintained, and a great staff. It is small, with few activities, but great location on a slower part of the island. Food was really good, made to order. There are 2 pools, an infinity pool next to the ocean, and a regular pool in the middle of the resort. The infinity pool was a great place to watch the surf. Beach was pretty, but hard to swim because of surf and rocks. If you want a wonderful, laid back vacation, this is definitely a must!

Great place if you like a low key, relaxed vibe without all the fanfare of a typical all inclusive. Exactly what we were looking for. We didn't see any kids or heavy partiers, but enough of a party vibe to have some fun at night. Food was outstanding and the staff was very nice. Beach is awesome, that is out of the way so you don't get bugged with vendors,. Not a far walk to kite surfing spot for excellent people watching, but nice to have some privacy back at the resort. Drinks are not watered down and drink labels are accurate. Highly recommend.

I have to be perfect honestly about my stay with Ocean Manor Resort. First, it is not the easiest place to find. The deco on the front of the building is very small and easily missed. Although the hotel staff was gratuitous, they need to be careful in what they say about their guests who are entering the resort, some Americans DO UNDERSTAND Spanish. The overall environment is very quaint. The beds were comfortable, however; the room is in need of an extreme update, the bathroom had little leftover hair in the shower drain, and the room only has one TV (28-inch). The sofa bed had a dead bug in the creases, gross! The power went out several times. The concierge who greeted us, was helpful and gave us a tour of other resorts, which was great. However, we were more impressed by the other resorts and what they had to offer. We wanted to stay there, other resorts had more to offer. The food was good. Breakfast was alright, lunch and dinner was our favorite. But they take forever to bring out the food! Don't ask for food to be brought up to you at the bar or room, it took almost 30-45min. However, the resort is very affordable with its all inclusive fee. The resort itself is meant for those who want a quite peaceful time. We were told it is not safe to go out after dark, which rose a red flag. The closest entertainment was 25-30min away, aside from the mini club from across the street. Even though the resort is small, they should offer a shuttle service for their guests to get around. Ocean Manor, is a pleasant stay for those who'd like it quite and who rarely want to be disturb. Regardless of my personal experience, it is otherwise a nice place to relax and be left alone.
