Orizzonte Acireale Hotel

Nice hotel, good food, room and bed comfortable. Nice swimming pool, with bar adjacent. Excellent view up to Mount Etna from the poolside. Staff pleasant and helpful. Hotel situated on outskirts of town, but this can easily be reached by local bus which stops outside hotel and has a regular service, or a taxi can be ordered.

Terrible hotel. No toilet paper roll, just some toilet paper towels, so thin and small, you couldn’t even blow your nose with them. Breakfast was very limited and tasteless, dinner was horrendous. In general, the food wasn’t even edible. The hotel is located 20 km outside the city of Catania. There was no Wi-Fi coverage inside the room, only at the reception and at the main hall. The facilities were old. Hygiene was mediocre. This hotel is not a 4 star hotel, it’s barely a 3 star hotel. The staff is not willing to help you and they find excuses to justify all the disadvantages, deficits and inadequacies of this hotel. Spend your money somewhere else.

Hotel and grounds fine, food atrocious, only scrambled egg as hot breakfast, no bacon,sausage or beans to go with it, but continental available. Dinner was just a choice of meat or fish, only one potato and courgette, if you didn't like anything you didn't get alternative. Didn't find staff or reception friendly, no courteous smile. Wouldn't go back there
