Clean and neat room with free wi-fi. The breakfast is the luxurious amount. Local food (esp. melon and watermelon) are nice. Kids had fun in the deep pool! You can bring the drinks from the breakfast place to the poolside.
We were staying in few more hotels during holiday in the country nothing can be compared to Oscar in terms of cleanliness, service and food selection, most of the hotels do not even know what is oat milk.
Overall, I had a lovely experience at this hotel. When I had to wait a bit for my room (I arrived before 2 pm check-in), they very kindly upgraded me several levels to a MASSIVE suite for no extra charge. It was by far the nicest, most modern hotel room I have seen anywhere in Tashkent, and I've stayed many places. The pool is lovely, quiet, and peaceful. Front desk staff is very kind, and I felt really safe and taken care of here. The only two things preventing me from giving this place 5 stars are: 1) The service in the restaurant Mayfair Pub - it's not "bad," but it's not befitting of a hotel this nice. There was never once a smile from any of the staff, and it took me forever to place an order or get my bill even though I was one of only 3 customers in the place. I think they might need some more customer service training. And 2) There is no one outside or by the door to greet you or help with your bags. The ramp up to the door is steep and slippery and very difficult to handle if you are alone with multiple bags. To me, it's a very standard service to have a greeter/bag helper, but there was no one working at the front of the hotel at all besides the front desk receptionist (and a burly big tall man who seemed to be some sort of guard, who was always sitting on a lobby couch? which I found odd and a bit disconcerting). I'd still stay here again if I need somewhere close to the train station/airport, but given that it's such a lovely property, I'd like to see some improvement in these 2 areas!
