Pak Ping Ing Jai

This was the best stay we had in the north of Thailand. One of the highlights was the host couple, who were so sweet and gave us great recommendations for a beautiful waterfall and temples nearby. They also took us around to some local villages to really get the local experience too. The homestay was beautiful and clean. From the exterior design of the houses, which includes a variety of traditional Thai and European style houses, to the clean and beautiful interior. You get so much privacy with all the trees, flowers, and water surrounding the house. You can really tell they put a lot of care and attention into the gardens and all the layouts. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. It might be a bit further from the city, but I think you really get the local gems that are away from the touristy spots. This made our experience so much better than our friends who were stuck with tourist traps. The bonus we didn’t expect was the coffee and breakfast that they prepared for us! We’ll definitely be back here again 🥰

I’ve stayed here twice while visiting Chiang Rai. It’s peaceful & quiet by the river with fresh air. A short walk to the White Temple. The owners have been nice in preparing simple homemade breakfast. They also have a rooftop balcony to hang out. Only downside is that it’s a 20-minute drive to the city. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants quiet and have a vehicle.

5 minute walk from the White Temple. You pay up front. Beautiful room, beautiful garden, okay shower and proper toilet but flushing worked only sporadically. The owners are welcoming and the elder hostess sat with us over morning coffee and was helpful in answering our questions.
