We visited Pillar & Post Spa as a group of friends, and were able to book in advance treatments for all 6 of us! I recommend booking in advance because there’s not really any day-of appointments for any treatments. We had one person walk-in for a day pass to use the spa and hotel amenities (not for a treatment). It’s great because in between treatments, or before/after, you can enjoy the hot springs (really just a hot tub), indoor/outdoor pools and hot-tub. The outdoor pool was my favourite. Large, lots of room for guests to lounge, and very clean. Everything else was a bit small, not fitting many people. My treatment was nice, I had Nataliya as my manicurist and she was very kind and did a good job. I would definitely come back in the future!

We are currently staying at Pillar and Post for 2 days. We got a reservation for a Deluxe Queen Room. The room is a little worn. It smells musty and has a chemical cleaner odor. The shower and portions of the bathroom have what appear to be a black mold in the corners. The carpet needs replaced and smells. All of the furnishings & decor in the room are very outdated. Nothing like what the pictures show at all. Our room is on the first floor and looks out directly into a fence that is adjacent to the pool with a walkway between our room and the fence, so we have to keep the blinds closed at all times. There is minimal lighting. My wife has asthma and the noise in our room from adjacent rooms was terrible the first night. The property itself has a pub, restaurant, 2 pools, a hot springs plunge and a spa. I used the fitness center and sauna today. The fitness center was good with lots of equipment. The sauna was old and needed cleaning. The hot tub did not work. The property is somewat geared toward families with children. The staff was friendly enough and helpful. With the exception of the pool which had a no outside food or drink policy. I brought a few pieces of fruit that i had purchased through room service and a seltzer water and the pool attendant came over and notified me it was not acceptable to bring it to the pool. Not worth the $$$. Should be a 3 star not a 4. I give it a 7.9 rating

This hotel is set in a lovely location with beautiful grounds. The service was quite good and the staff were welcoming. I found the room to be tired looking and in need of an update. The bathroom door could have used a fresh coat of paint on the door, as it looked grubby. I expected much more given the cost of the room each night. We visited the outdoor pool on the first day and we couldn’t get a lounge chair for quite a while, as it was overcrowded. I was later informed that day passes are given to the local people to make use of the pool. The hotel should review their policy and give priority to its hotel guests. We were so turned off that we avoided the pool for the rest of our stay. The hotel did not seem to have an adequate number of parking spots to accommodate their guests. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and not what you would expect for a $400/night hotel. We will not be returning.
