Top 10 were 10/10. Staff pleasant & helpful. Cabins clean & comfortable. Outlook magnificent. Only downside - the beach is only good for swimming & paddle boarding at high tide & then you still have to wade some to get to a decent depth. No waves. Therefore no boogie boarding or surfing. Lots of lovely walks & exploring, the best being Wainui Falls. Can highly recommend Golden Bay Kayaks (children welcomed & catered for too)
When there was an issue with our booking that was outside of the campground's control, the owners went above and beyond to ensure that we were accomodated for the night, we even got an upgrade! Highly recommend this campground for the pleasant and very hospitable staff and beautiful location.
Great location, right on the beach. I was camping and the tent sites were really big and easy access to the beach. Friendly staff at check in. Decent kitchen facilities. You have to put dollar coins into the showers for each 6 minutes but it is not worth it - the water is either scalding hot to the point where I could not stand under it or freezing cold, there is no in between
