Porto Mare Hotel

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! It was absolutely gorgeous (especially the pool area and the view of this from the restaurant). The staff were always very friendly and helpful and the entertainment was good fun! We went in September and it wasn't overly busy and we found the experience of the hotel quite relaxing. The rooms were well equipped and very clean. Some people mention the noise, but we didn't really notice this from the hotel at all. Our room did look out onto the surrounding streets and bars which could be a bit noisier but this didn't disturb us too much- if it's something you are worried about, I would recommend booking a room looking over the pool area instead. If you're looking for a trip away to Madeira, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Had not been to this particular Porto Bay hotel before.A very good hotel as is usually the case with Porto Bay. Did not try the restaurant in the evenings but the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.The service throughout the hotel was very good and friendly.A special mention to Lina who we first met at the Porto Santa Maria. Yes the clientele is predominantly older people like us but I suspect it is at all the Porto Bay hotels. The only downside in our opinion is that the location is not ideal in that the hotel is a fair way from the city centre.We walked it each time but it is uphill on the way back.The bus service is good but the buses are nearly always full. We found a few decent restaurants nearby but the selection is not as good as down in town We found the hotel very relaxing with plenty of interior and exterior space.

Family holiday for ten days, could not find one thing to fault the hotel, staff, room, pool. Food, drinks, location …. We loved it and will be back. Thank you 😊
