Review of Promised Land– December 16th Stay My recent stay at Promised Land has largely exceeded expectations, though there were minor areas for improvement. Pros: The resort’s staff were exceptionally friendly and professional throughout the entire experience. From the moment we were picked up at Shofang train station to check-in, every interaction was warm and informative. Particular praise goes to the staff who shared insights about the nearby clam farm, the boat captain, and the drivers who ensured a smooth journey to our accommodations. The building exterior shows some natural aging, but the interior of the building we stayed in was impeccably maintained. Features like strong water pressure, well-crafted hardwood furniture, and quality dining utensils really demonstrated the owner’s desire to create something that is truly unique locally; also contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. While mattress preferences are subjective, ours was satisfactory. Overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Cons: The buffet restaurant would benefit from food covers, particularly during winter. I observed an instance where a teenage guest sneezed near the fruit section with inadequate mouth coverage, which was concerning. Additionally, some of the dishes lacked flavor. For instance, the Thai papaya salad served during the buffet on 12/15 was not acidic, which detracted from its authenticity. Despite these minor issues, my stay at Promised Land was delightful, and I would recommend it to others seeking a relaxing getaway.

Fantastic experience.....foods a bit of a let down.....great variety but always appears to be cold....many activities to do and see and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained.....our room was probably one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in.....it felt like a mansion with our very own waterfall just outside our massive windows. Staff are lovely....I guess more western food options might be nice and not left to go cold.....other then that I'd probably recommend it to my friends and family and if I was to return to Taiwan I would stay again.

The rooms are spacious and clean. But has seen better days. The area was really nice - three pools, palm trees and a beautiful lagoon arrangement . Above all, the breakfast and the very friendly staff were top. Special greetings to the general manager who helped us with anything 🫶
