Protea Hotel by Marriott Clarens

Stay over for one night after returning from Lesotho, beautiful cosy hotel. I had a great room, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was nice. Walking distance to activities and shopping. Only thing I didn’t like was that it was noisy, could hear the reception, doors being opened and closed and I could hear my neighbours noises

We had a good 2 nights weekend stay here, as a base for our Afriski trip. The facilities and service was also good. It was our first time visiting Clarens. We enjoyed the town thoroughly, taking a relaxed stroll and buying some souvenirs. We'll be back😉

Everything else was standard Protea hotel standard . except the breakfast experience. we were a bus full of 39 passengers, and we could not fit into their restaurant space for Breakfast. some of us had to seat at what looks like an overflow reception area. that area was earmarked for another group that came for their breakfast, it looks like they were busy with a conference, and guess what, the space was still not enough for them as well. and we ended up being bullied out of our table by an older lady, who was part of that group. I think you should look into a bigger Space for breakfast. maybe even use one of the conference rooms on busy days , where everyone can get a seat to have their coffee in peace.
