Although I haven’t stayed at Ramada by Wyndham Islamabad, I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying their buffet dinner multiple times—and every visit has been impressive. The buffet offers a wide variety of cuisines, from traditional Pakistani dishes to continental and Asian options. The food quality is consistently good, well-prepared, and flavorful. What really stands out is the live cooking station—especially the BBQ and stake , which are cooked to perfection. The dessert section is another highlight, offering a mix of desi sweets and cakes . Everything is presented well and replenished regularly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a quality buffet dinner in Islamabad.

I recently stayed at Ramada Hotel and wanted to share a detailed and honest review of my experience. While the hotel does offer some positives—particularly the variety at breakfast—several issues impacted the overall comfort and expectations one would have from a hotel of this category. ⸻ Arrival Experience • No welcome drink was provided at check-in, which is normally expected in hotels of this level. • There was no porter available at the entrance to assist with luggage. • The entrance lacks a ramp or slope, making it inconvenient to drag wheeled bags. • No wheelchair access is available, which is a significant accessibility concern. ⸻ Lobby & Room Entry • Only one of the main entrance doors is automatic. After that, guests must manually open a second set of doors, which feels inconvenient and poorly designed. ⸻ Room Amenities • No fruit basket was provided in the room. • The room had only two small bottles of water and a basic tea and coffee setup. • These are refilled once a day, which can be inadequate for guests staying longer or during warmer weather. • Toiletries were incomplete. Items like a toothbrush or shaving kit were not placed in the room and required a call to housekeeping. It is advisable to bring your own to avoid delays, especially in the morning. ⸻ Laundry Service • If your package includes “1 pair of laundry per day”, you are required to give one pair each day. You cannot submit multiple pairs at once for upcoming days, even if staying for a week. • Staff insist on a strict interpretation of the policy—1 pair daily—not 7 pairs for a 7-day stay, which shows a lack of flexibility and understanding of guest needs. ⸻ Dining • Breakfast was a strong point, offering a good variety of options catering to different preferences. • The buffet dinner is served only on the rooftop, which can often be hot and humid, affecting the overall comfort of the dining experience. ⸻ Recreational Facilities • The swimming pool is small and often overcrowded, which limits its usability and enjoyment. ⸻ Overall Impression While the hotel provides decent food and a clean environment, it lacks attention to guest convenience and essential hospitality services. The lack of accessibility, incomplete in-room amenities, and inflexible service policies reflect poorly on the brand’s

There’s a lot I have to say. Firstly, the hotel is not well-maintained. We had to change our rooms five times due to issues such as unpleasant smells and broken bathroom showers. These problems were present on all floors, including the executive floor. Our first night was horrible ,there was loud noise from the rooftop after midnight, making it very difficult to sleep. After our fourth room change, we finally got a nicer one, but even then, the shower was not working properly. The facilities feel old and outdated; they really need to invest in new fixtures. Hygiene was just okay, not exceptional. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and cooperative. However, the hotel management needs to seriously address the deteriorating condition of the building. The rooms and washrooms especially require urgent renovation. The pool was great, and the food was good ,but overall, this hotel could be so much better with proper upkeep and upgrades.
