Ramada Encore by Wyndham Puebla

Checked in early and had to wait an hour, which is understandable since it was based on availability when I messaged them this morning. The registration clerk was very friendly and helpful. My review would have been 5 stars at that time. However, after returning and picking up my key card 15 minutes after the agreed upon and posted check in time of 3pm, I opened the door to a pigsty. Dirty towels were everywhere, no sheets on the bed and the room smelled. I returned to the front desk and was told by a different registration clerk it would be at least 30 minutes for another possibly clean room and I could come back then. She offered me a smaller room without a refund in price difference, then suggested I cancel my nonrefundable booking and book again. The restaurant staff were wonderful and the food was very good (their salsa is the perfect spicy!) The location is good for onward travel being just off the toll road and parking seems secure with a gated lot and security guard. If you have a long travel day this might not be your best choice, but if you don't mind waiting while exhausted this hotel is a good choice.

The location is ideal for those traveling through. It's right off the cuota. The secure parking is a huge plus with a gate attendant. Service at the front desk was great with one lady, not so much with the other after we had an issue with our room. It wasn't clean...at all. It was completely messy and hadn't been cleaned. We understand that happens, but instead of simply giving us a new room right away, we were offered a downgrade room from King to Queen without reimbursement for our paid upgrade. We were also told we could cancel the booking and rebook? Losing our payments made to booking.com? Odd. After 30 minutes, the original front lady came and gave us a key to a new room with a King. Such a simple fix for an empty hotel. The dining experience and atmosphere of the hotel was great. The staff were all nice and the food was delicous. The enchiladas suizas were some of the best we've had and the fajita de pollo were excellent. This place is a fantastic hotel with some simple issues that need to be fixed for future guests.

The hotel is very nice and comfortable, the only thing is the walls are very very thin and you can hear everything. It has a gym and an indoor pool. Breakfast is ok if you go early in the morning.
