Red Frog Beach Island Resort

I stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing time! The villa was incredibly spacious, with beautiful jungle views and a small private pool that made the stay extra special. The resort feels like a charming little town—you can walk or ride around in golf carts, which adds to the experience. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Would definitely come back!

I ate at La Rosa beach club is amazing. They have great food and drinks. You cannot beat this view. Jimmy & Matzia took care of our group and made us feel at home

Our stay at Red Frog Resort was a mixed experience. We chose this hotel because it was one of the few 5-star options in Bocas del Toro, but upon check-in, we were disappointed to find that many of the services typically expected at a 5-star hotel were either minimal or nonexistent. The first room we were given was well below any standard, not even comparable to a budget motel. The second room was slightly better, but still not up to expectations. It wasn't until our third room—a fully furnished and equipped apartment—that we finally experienced accommodations worthy of a high-end resort. It felt as though this hotel was once a true luxury resort but has since shifted its focus towards real estate development, seemingly at the expense of its hospitality services. While the ambiance was pleasant, and some staff members were attentive and very friendly, overall service was inconsistent. Despite these setbacks, we made the most of our time and enjoyed our stay. However, for those expecting true 5-star luxury, this resort may not meet expectations.
