Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel

This review is mainly for the housekeeping team. We’ve traveled around the world for years, and this hotel’s room cleaning staffs are absolutely outstanding! 👍 We’ve been here for 7 days (with 3 more to go), and every day our room has looked just like the day we arrived. The cleaning team is consistent, detail-oriented, and never once made us feel obligated to tip—unlike other hotels that even place signs in the room asking for it. Cleaning is always done in a timely and professional manner. I also want to mention the maintenance service—they responded within minutes and quickly resolved my issue, which turned out not to be a mechanical problem but something on my end. Their professionalism and efficiency were impressive. There is still some room for improvement at the front desk and among certain restaurant management staff. That said, the speed and helpfulness of the front desk service overall have been excellent.

Liked the hotel very much. It was absolutely clean and the room was neatly designed. Buffet was superb with great plethora of choices. It was close to Shilin night market. The view from the room was unbeatable (directly looking at Mother Nature). Definitely our choice if we were in Taipei again.

Room is small but clean and the service is great. While the hotel is very close the metro station the entrance is not very friendly to customers who want to walk from the station. However, the view at the mountain side and the swimming pool is so peaceful and pretty. Recommended.
