I am currently at Riadh Palms Hotel and I am absolutely amazed. From the location, view, food, animation team, everything's great. Rooms are clean, well maintained, towels are changed every day. The chef manager Abel is adorable, helpful and one really amazing man. The favorite is the Animation team. They did great job in entertaining us during the day and night. From pool activities to parties for kids and adults. Great job team, I felt great and we spent the best time of our lives here. For sure, we will come back to Tunisia and of course to the Riadh Palms.

It is a 4-star hotel, so expect accordingly. The food is varied and the staff in the restaurant is friendly and helpful. Our room didn't have a power outlet, so they brought us an extension cable to charge our phones. The bathroom was flooded, we bought water with towels because we didn't want plumbers in our room. The beach is great, as is the pool, there is security on the beach at all times. The lifeguard on the beach even has jellyfish sting cream to apply if you get stung by the jellyfish that are sometimes found in the sea. As an All Inclusive guest, I didn't like that they pour your sodas into very small paper cups unless you want alcohol or offer a tip. The girl at the beach bar is very rude and seems under the influence. In the hotel bar, we asked for a longer coffee and the waiter mocked us by repeating: "Large coffee, large coffee.." In general, it seems to me that the management is trying, but that probably underpaid and unmotivated employees are trying to extract extra money from you. In general, as far as Tunisia is concerned, I will never go back there. They will try to scam you at every opportunity. For example, in a cafe, when you order coffee or juice, they bring you rolls or some miserable cake and tell you it's a gift from the house, but then charge you a lot for it. As a European who does not expect the impossible, Albania is a much better destination.

This hotel was nice for the price. Had a private beach and bars etc, food was nice too, I didn’t get a bad belly like I usually do with all inclusive. The waiters were fab, filled our drinks up as soon as our cups were empty and took our plates every time. The manager, not sure what his name is but he’s always in the main restaurant, he is superb, great manager, whenever we went up to politely grab a drink, he asked us to take a seat and he’ll get a waiter to fill up our drinks. He done a great job. Has a few problems which unfortunately has led me to not want to go back to this hotel. BTW! The staff will constantly ask for tips, they come over when your on the beach and ask if you’d like a drink - if you say yes, they bring the drink over and then demand a tip. We did tip, but only because we felt like we had to, when really they were the ones to ask us if we wanted a drink. Didn’t think we’d have to tip. In the private bar, the woman with short hair is rude and couldn’t smile even if it had to save her life. We even told her to keep the change and she was still rude. Also staff at night smoke and drink alcoholic drinks, the staff outside on the beach are so unprofessional. Firstly, on the first day we took a quick shower, the drain was blocked so our whole bathroom floated pretty bad. We used 3 towels to try and dry the floor but they didn’t even soak up a quarter of the water. We went straight to reception and asked for help, the receptionist said she would send someone up. No one came that day. The next day we asked for help again, no one came again. So we called down to reception and asked for a third time. No one came. The bathroom was getting worse as we had no choice but to shower when it’s 32 degrees outside and we were sandy from the beach. We asked again and said we wanted a new room, finally someone came up. It took them 5 minutes to unblock the drain, so we was unsure why it had to take so many times to ask. Secondly, the beach has a mini restaurant for food and drinks, I went over to her a drink. A woman gave her plastic cup to a staff member that she had been drinking from. I watched this staff member rinse the cup under water for about 2 seconds and then poured me a drink. This cup still had this woman’s lip stick marks on the cup. I obviously didn’t drink this as it was disgusting. Since then I didn’t use this mini bar for food or drinks as it’s unhygienic. On our last night, there was a serious disturbance in the room next to ours. We had heard loud screaming from that room on previous nights, but this time it was far more intense. Several guests, including myself, came out of our rooms because we were concerned. A woman ran out, visibly distressed, saying that she had been “strangled” (no claims, just from what she said herself). Another guest went to inform reception and told them exactly what she had heard, what we had heard. When the receptionist arrived, he smiled at the man and shook the man’s hand before taking him away. Given the seriousness of what we had just witnessed and what had been reported to him, I personally found that reaction inappropriate. I understand we did not know the full story, and neither may the receptionist, but I believe a more professional approach would have been better in that moment. I don’t want this review to upset the receptionist himself as he may of had a serious conversation with him, but doing this in front of upset and concerned customers probably weren’t the best approach. It all happened to quick so I understand maybe they didn’t know what to do in the situation but it was upsetting to see. I wanted to leave this out of the review but it has saddened me so I just want to make the staff aware to in future, act a different way. No hate towards the receptionist. While the hotel staff were generally polite and helpful during our stay, this particular incident left a negative impression. Our taxi driver told us if we come to Tunisia again (which we never ever will), to book somewhere else and said the hotel isn’t a good hotel, so clearly locals even know this
