Exceptional experience at Riu Palace Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived, the staff's warm welcome set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Daily room cleaning and stocked fridges were thoughtful touches. The buffet staff, particularly Esteban, Marino, Jose #2, and Edwin, went above and beyond to ensure our dining experiences were exceptional. Their friendly service and attention to detail made our trip truly special. Highly recommend Riu Palace Punta Cana for a relaxing and memorable vacation. Thanks to the entire staff for making our stay unforgettable!

Spent my birthday week at this hotel and while the overall experience was decent, it was made truly special by one incredible staff member Orlan, a wonderful and warm-hearted waiter. Orlan went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal and memorable. His friendly, family-oriented attitude really stood out and added that extra touch that the rest of the staff, unfortunately, lacked. The hotel itself is okay, it’s family-friendly, has the basics, and the room decoration for my birthday was absolutely lovely. However, when it came to service, I was disappointed. Despite it being a special occasion, I was the one who had to ask for a birthday cake, no one from the staff followed up or checked in during the week. When my boyfriend got sick, we discovered the hotel didn’t even have something as basic as paracetamol. While I did enjoy my time, it was largely because I was in good company. The hotel has potential, and I would recommend it for families, but the staff definitely need training in hospitality and guest care. Small gestures can go a long way, and with more attention to detail and guest support, this hotel could really shine. Special thanks again to Orlan, you’re a star.

Resort itself is very nice. However, the staff, food, and service is poor. To begin, our check in was at 3 pm. We arrived at 5:30 pm and our room was not ready yet. After eating at the buffet (food is roughly mediocre), we came back to the room and our pillows had no pillow cases. We asked a housekeeper for pillow cases and she said they ran out. Next, some of the male workers are extremely overwhelming. Offering drugs, an invitation to the parties, and being overly flirty. A woman told me how one of them gave her a kiss on her hand at the beach. The female workers are also rude. They look like they hate their job and it doesn’t add to my experience that was paid for. I asked a lady worker at the cafe for a chocolate milkshake and she said they don’t make those even though I had just gotten one earlier that day in the same place. I tried to get a crepe from the crepe station and the worker told me one moment. Then I saw her make one with no customers near, and she took the plate and walked off with it to eat it behind the building. Are the crepes for the workers or for us? 😀 Overall, I didn’t feel welcomed here and will not be returning. If you can spend the extra dollar, choose another resort that is elsewhere. It is worth mentioning that the beach was not great. I think the hurricane had something to do with it but it was covered in seaweed and the water looked brown.
