Rochestown Park Hotel & Leisure Centre

Went for my sons birthday trip and the staff couldn't have been more helpful even before we arrived for our stay. They set up the room perfectly for my toddler and had a birthday treat waiting in the room for my son. We all felt so welcome and will definitely stay again when returning to Cork.

My partner booked this hotel for a special birthday. We were given a room that was very small, no where to hang clothes and no drawers to put anything in. Only one of us could have a shower the next morning as drains must never be cleaned out so water just would not go down the drain. We went for a drink in the bar the first night. The smell of stale beer was horrid plus dirty glasses left on the worktop. Loads of young staff but not interested in clearing away glasses off counter. We did complain about room as the price of rooms and the room we had just did not add up. We were moved to a nice room with a bath as well as a shower. But again the water in the shower just very slow to go down...again due to lack of being cleaned out. We had food in hotel on the 2nd night but it really didn't wow us at all. There was a crowd of men in a corner who were very loud and made the whole thing very uncomfortable. So we left. Staff need to be managed properly.

Due to the age of the rooms and just about everything at the property, this is more like a 2 star hotel. Our room also didn’t have any air conditioning, despite advertising that they did, and the front desk avoided addressing the issue by giving us a complete runaround. I’m sure there are much better options for hotels in the area. But if you like sweating at night with no AC, this hotel is for you.
