Amazing location! The staff is very friendly and inviting. Everyone is so helpful, even to travelers and tourists. This is a great place to stay, they have all you need here. You can’t beat that view either!
I am outraged and completely disgusted by our recent stay at this resort. My family and I—12 members strong—visited about 10 years ago and had an amazing experience. The entertainment was fantastic, the staff was kind and courteous, and the À la carte restaurants were accommodating. Fast forward six months ago: we returned as a group of 13, and the experience was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The entertainment is now entirely in Spanish. I understand Panama is a Spanish-speaking country, but when 40–50% of your guests are Canadian or American, it is completely unacceptable that no effort is made for English translations or options. This blatant disregard for international guests is infuriating. The À la carte dining was a total disaster. We were initially told we would be split into two separate groups at two different restaurants—utterly ridiculous and unacceptable. The “solution” was a table for 10, which was still absurdly unaccommodating. On top of that, reservations are only allowed three nights in advance, and guests are not given any choice. This level of inflexibility is insulting. Excursions were equally terrible. Our deep-sea fishing trip produced zero fish. The snorkeling tour lasted barely five minutes, and most of us were stung. While stings are not the resort’s fault, it was the final straw. To “compensate,” we were offered a free ATV ride that was supposed to last an hour—but lasted only 30 minutes. Ridiculous. And the pool situation was the cherry on top of this disaster. The pool with the gorgeous top-view location was closed the entire two weeks, despite multiple checks. The only other pool with a nice view was adults-only VIP, completely excluding most of our group. This stay was beyond disappointing—it was infuriating, disrespectful, and mismanaged on every level. While this resort might work for small groups who expect nothing, I will never return and will never recommend it to anyone.
The location is beautiful, the resort is huge - I loved exploring in, as well as out of the resort. For the affordability, the food is really good. However, the service is terrible lol the waitresses especially, can have such an awful attitude when asked for service. I’ve waited more than 10-15 minutes to be served a coffee or water at the buffet, and when I try to get someone’s attention - they’d meet me with such sass it honestly made me laugh at some point. I started giving them a dollar or two to make their day better. I’m not sure why they were so difficult. Don’t think I’ve ever experienced such consistent, miserable attitudes when being served. One time the main section of the pacific buffet was completely full, so I sat in the other one - staff that were monitoring allowed me to sit there freely - but I had a waitress come to me and asked me to move - I got upset because I knew there wasn’t any space but I grabbed two of my plates to appease her, came back and told her there weren’t any available tables. She left me alone after I gave her like two dollars. I’ve had many odd encounters with them. Some ignored me, some would turn their back, it was wild. The men at the bar were quite polite, worked hard - but the women always seemed so slow to move, so rude to deal with. The rooms were dirty, as well. Sheets would be changed, they’d forget the towels though - I’d walk around the room and my feet would turn black! I think there’s too many people - not enough staff. They’re overworked, and easily agitated.
