Royal Hills Golf Resort and Spa

The golf course is very challenging with a particularly picturesque and memorable back 9. The course has large undulating greens which are tricky at a medium pace but could be very difficult when fast. I played in the middle of the rainy season and some areas were waterlogged and its probably better to play here during the dry season. The facilities are excellent and you can see why they hold professional tournaments here. I paid 2500 baht for green fee,cart and caddy on a week day. It's cheaper for Thai residents. Overall definitely worth playing.

⸻ The room was rather dated, with an air conditioner that couldn’t be adjusted for temperature. The water heater was difficult to operate, and the walls were quite thin, making it easy to hear footsteps and noise from outside. The hotel entrance is not well-lit, so I would not recommend arriving at night. During our stay, there were very few guests, which may have affected the breakfast quality. It did not match the hotel’s advertised offerings. The rice porridge, in particular, was overly salty.

Never stay here again. Service was diabolical with lack of competence and professionalism, disorganised and unwelcoming. Arrived 3.45pm and booed under Agoda. Went to check in at the Agoda desk and our booking was missing. The staff went away and never returned for a good 15 minutes, no welcome drink and never showed us to our room. No assistance with luggage, they never asked. The room was clean, smelt good and a good view. Modern but the tissue paper in the toilet is just single sheets like a shopping mall dispenser. The room is NOT sound proof with noise coming from next door. Breakfast is 280 baht if not included. I cant say anything about the golf course but it does look nice with a good view.
