An absolutely wonderful hotel. The spa there is amazing. It has a sauna and showers that you could detox in after a long day. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The receptionists actually speak decent English too which is rare. What tops all this though is the location. It is near two metro stations, on the Tverskaya street, near MANY restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. A 40 min walk or a 10 min metro ride takes you directly to the Red square. 100% would recommend.
It's our first night and we already regretting the decision of staying here. The reception unhappy guy (working at 3 am) made it uncomfortable for us. That's the only thing I can say. Update: it's been 10 nights and everything went fine until we woke up this morning and the water coming from the shower was very dirty :/ we let it run for like 30 minutes but that didn't fix it. We called the reception and they sent a plumber. He took a long time working that we just left the room and started our day without taking a shower. When I stopped by the reception and told them that they could've find a better solution (they could've change our room temporarily at least until they fix their dirty water issue) they responded with a firm tone that there's no availability. This hotel doesn't deserve even 3 star hotel. I don't recommend it at all. The only good thing is it's location. Other than that it's awful and has the rudest reception I'v ever seen!!
The amenities were fine, we liked the health center - nice sauna pool and gym. Negative comment is for the room service and effort of the reception to help me: I forgot my expensive one piece suit inside the wardrobe, I hung it so it doesn’t crease. I realized it the morning after we checked out. I called the reception and they asked me to hold on a few minutes for them to check with the cleaning staff and after they checked it was unsuccessful. I called again and again and nothing was found.. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of effort to investigate why the cleaning staff keeps the clothes to themselves. I have forgotten my clothes in hotels of other countries and always would get them back. The least the could do is check the cameras or check who Exaclty was cleaning out room after we left.
