Salamangka Beach And Dive Resort

Me and my sisters and I went here after the holy week, and it was midweek, so there were not many guests. It's a bit of a drive to get to the location , and i would discuss why it is a plus. On the reception we were given complimentary welcome drinks which was really refreshing and we were also given a water flask so we can bring it with us on our tours, so its a plus on sustainability Upon reaching our room we we're really surprised at how big the room was and how magnificent the view was from our room. The bathroom was immense. It was beautiful. The shower area was amazing, and the bathtub had its own jacuzzi . The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Special shout out to Ken, or we jokingly call Kendra . Now, because there weren't many guests, we enjoyed the serenity. The beach part was just average because it had rocks on the beach, the pool was of a good size and you could swim to the bar. As I've said ill touch on why being secluded is a plus, is for the reason that if you're out the whole day touring the whole island and doing lots of activities at the end of the day you just want to relax and enjoy the sunset which i did. Breakfast is plated. They have about 5 or 6 varieties to choose from. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and didn't want to leave. Would i recommend it? Oh definitely, yes, would i come back? It's a big fat, yes.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The pool is large, clean, and deep enough in some areas to properly swim, which we really appreciated. We stayed in one of the suites — a spacious room with a huge bathroom, exactly like in the photos. The staff were very professional and genuinely attentive to our needs. I’m vegetarian, and the kitchen was kind enough to tweak the menu to accommodate me, which made a big difference. The cocktails by the pool were also really nice — perfect for relaxing. While you can’t swim in the sea, the view is still beautiful to look at. There’s a brand-new in-house dive center, which we used and absolutely loved. We also rented scooters that were practically brand new — super convenient! All in all, we definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a high-quality stay with great facilities, a top-notch restaurant, and a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy by the pool.

The garden cottage room I stayed in was spacious, with a decent bed, and a nice touch was that each room is named after an indigenous fish from the island. Compared to bigger, busier resorts like Coco Grove, Salamangka feels more private and laid-back, making it a great choice if you prefer a quieter atmosphere. The restaurant is acceptable, not gourmet but satisfying, with standout dishes like the buttered shrimp, fish tinola, and spring rolls. Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 PM, perfect for winding down after a day of island activities. The pool is large and ideal for a relaxing dip, and their massage services are definitely worth availing. The staff were all courteous and attentive, and I appreciated the small but thoughtful detail of receiving an aluminum tumbler upon check-in, a nod to sustainability. Overall, it’s a well-run resort that offers solid value for money and a relaxing, more intimate setting.
