San Rafael Hotel

My husband and I stayed here for a couple nights and absolutely LOVED it. Perfect location, centrally located to all the restaurants shop and sights. We were in Suite 3 and loved the authentic & luxurious Guatemalan finishes. The best was so comfortable, shower had great water pressure, and ever little thing was perfect The compliment breakfast was such a pleasant surprise. Best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. A full menu was offered, service was always friendly, and the food presentation was beyond 5* This is the only hotel we will ever stay at in Antigua, I wish we had more time 😊

Probably a 3.5, this is a quaint hotel in a quaint town. The location is unbeatable, right by the famous arch, in the centre of Antigua. We only stayed for one night and had an early morning flight, which the hotel packed us a sandwich and drink for so can't say much about the food. The bedroom (Suite 1, Capuchinas) was nice, but the bathroom was very small, (this is the entire reason for my rating deduction). No pictures of the bathroom on the website, basically has the toilet and an open shower in one tiny room, which gets very wet when you shower, despite being set a couple of steps lower. Thankfully the sinks are outside and separate to this room. Shower wasn't great either anyway. If you're comfortable with small bathrooms, then this will be a good hotel to stay at.

I had a horrible experience with the administration of this hotel. They caused damage to a personal item of mine. They offered not even an apology. I have never been treated so poorly. I recommend going somewhere else as there are wonderful hotels here in town.
