Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar

Fantastic resort. Everything was beautifully maintained, the staff are friendly and always helpful. Marwan, I believe is the floor manager at the restaurant, he often checked in to see if we needed anything and if we did, nothing was out of reach. He is caring and efficient. The location is incredible! Be sure to swim when the tide is higher - absolutely incredible swimming beach. The bar staff are so welcoming and friendly. I hope we can go back again! Big bonus, the house white wine is from Spier in South Africa - absolutely stunning! A great treat for us!

Amazing location - beautiful beach for swimming which becomes a private beach at high tide, stunning view of sunsets, not too busy like the other parts of the beach on that stretch. Friendly and attentive staff - from start to finish we were well looked after by the lovely staff, always with a smile. Good WiFi, Aircon, daily water refills in the room. Cleanliness also very good, daily fresh feeling in the room and all over the resort. We had some issues with hot water in our room. Every meal was so lovely and we had so much to choose from. Nice big pool and many relaxation areas to choose from, good entertainment and good music. There is security patrolling to make sure only those that should be in the resort is there, which is great.

Warm welcome on arrival, fortunately our room was ready before normal check in time. Room 210 is a cottage, its small but adequate for us, the bed is comfortable and double shower lovely with plenty of hot water, sadly the fixtures and fittings are dated, but the safe and air conditioning are free which is a bonus. Food is fantastic something for everyone. Location is on one of the best parts of Nungwi bench and it becomes a private beach albeit small when the tide comes in. Sunsets are amazing as faces north west. The staff really make this place special so happy and friendly. Would recommend for a chilled out relaxing break as evening entertainment is limited (but enjoyable).
