Santantao Art Resort Hotel

Had a great tour today with the tourguide! Visiting santo antão full day was a great experience we, witnessed some of the great places Santa Antão has to offer. It captures a lot of vieuwpoints and brings you to little villages on the island and the left-overs of a jewish synagoge. Great trip and thank you!

Excellent and very friendly staff, dinner at the hotel was great with few options. The hotel is very large and made us feel both safe and welcomed. The pool is maintained and the grounds are well kept. There is a beautiful garden as a bar seating area and covered terrace. The ocean just a step across the street makes it a very relaxing stay. We kept the patio door open to hear the waves all night. For breakfast there is a Panini maker, eggs, sausages, hummus and tons of different types of local jams, breads and cakes the breakfast was good and included in the stay. Overall this has the feel of - The Grand Budapest hotel as we were one couple of maybe 10 at the grounds. It was very quite and made a magical experience for us. I would give this 5 stars every day. There is the port close by and can be walked to and from where you can find collectivo (cabs) to take you across the island and show you experiences.

Weird generator on balcony randomly turns on and makes noise. Even with our AC turned off. No mosquito net in balcony door and 5+ mosquitos in our room. Soap dispensers in bathroom were empty. The service, bar and breakfast were nice. They served pizza for breakfast which tasted really good.
