Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya Adults Only

We had a fabulous time at this resort. From the room to the food and exceptional service. I can’t say enough about how the staff really looks after you and wants to make your stay so personal and enjoyable. Rooms are clean and well kept. The staff (Sharon) at the quiet pool take great care of you. Remembering your drink requests from day to day and where you like to sit & having your towels on the chair waiting for you and sharing about the local areas of town to visit. The food at each restaurant was truly a gastronomic experience. The concierge in each building check on you daily. Cesar Montoya, you should be so proud of the staff you have on your resort, they are an amazing group of people. My husband and I visited Secrets Akumal earlier this month for a 4 night stay. We were blown away! This was the 3rd Secrets that we have stayed at over the years and it was the best by far. The resort grounds are lush and gorgeous, the ambience of each of the three pools was perfect to match our mood for the day (party/active, relaxed but lively, and calm/tranquil). The beach was not good for swimming, but we good to snorkel and see sea turtles and other marine life which more than made up for it. All of the staff at the resort are excellent. We especially appreciated Ana, Jesus, and Velvet that did service at the pools while we were there. The entertainment team was fun and I enjoyed Spanish lessons with Alan. The food was also very good. Great variety of restaurants and good options at the buffets. I don’t think the resort was at capacity, so we never had an issue with wait times to get into the restaurants, but this could be different if the result was full.

We just left after a wonderful week long stay. The food, the rooms, and the activities all exceeded our expectations. We were blown away by the hospitality of the staff and the beautiful property. While there we booked services at the spa, which was incredible and was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. We also did a snorkeling tour through the hotel and saw so many beautiful turtles. We also loved the quiet pool and the food at himatsu, Santorini, the patio and protofino. We both agreed that the food was some of the best we’ve ever had at an all inclusive and the menu was quite impressive. Overall we would highly recommend a stay at Secrets Akumal and we hope to visit again soon.
