Seehotel Dr. Jilly

I have just returned from the most wonderful few days at this gorgeously located and super hotel. Although travelling alone I was made to feel secure and well looked after on day one. Victoria on reception went out of her way to establish everything that I needed to know because on the day I arrived there was a few heavy showers and I felt sad about the weather but Victoria, who speaks excellent English cheered me up and so glad she did because the next morning was stunning! The view was gorgeous, right across the lake and my room smelt of lovely fresh sheets and was immaculate in cleanliness. The bathroom was modern and well designed within the room space. Mr Rieser , general manager was always around and greeted me by my name always which I thought was a very nice touch, as did Wilfred, the excellent restaurant manager who looked after me so well from the first evening and was thorough in his attention to detail and professionalism. He helped with any questions on food, wine, and always checking on all of the guests that all was fine. The hotels location is spectacular and dining on the verandah area is superb. I enjoyed the food and the choices for a main course( the apricot dumplings were so delicious too!) I first saw the hotels Instagram page and was so impressed that I booked it directly with them. It’s in great proximity to the airport and a 15 min or so train takes you to pretty Klagenfurt with lots to see. The hotel is in a peaceful, residential area with other hotels around but maintaining tranquility. The See promenade is filled with roses along the way and is a beautiful photo location. This for me is a heavenly hotel and the staff are so helpful and kind and really want you to enjoy your time with them. I did not want to leave at all and I’m already missing swimming in the lack which is steps from the hotel on the lovely decking area. If you want to swim, relax, read and enjoy lovely food, this hotel is a little gem. Thank you all for a wonderful stay🇦🇹🇬🇧🥰 Melanie

Very nice (boutique) hotel with charm. Atmosphere combines old with new. The director and his staff were always available, offered good service and were open to questions and needs. The room was clean and comfortable, a little bit small in size but offered a balcony and a beautiful lake view. Breakfast offered a good selection of sweet and sour including ham and eggs, vegetables, meat, and more. Always fresh and of good quality. During the day we only stayed at the hotels jilly beach and enjoyed the landing stage a lot. Dinners tasted great. Awesome choice of menu with fresh and organic ingredients and great quality. Definitely worth to book breakfast and dinner with the room. The only critic we have is that it’s a little bit pricey. We even stayed within a period where they offered a small discount but because not all of your nights were within that timeframe we didn’t get it. That felt a little disappointing. Overall it’s a great venue and definitely recommended!

Not happy with my stay, expensive rooms that look average, not so clean in general, looks a bit old. I was charged 1000euro because i spilled a glass of wine on mattressess. Left 2 days before the end of my stay but been charged for the whole trip. Poor management indeed. I also see from the reservation that i booked a deluxe with rooftop, but it wasn't assigned to me, had no even lake view.
