This was a true Japanese experience. If you are looking to get immersed in Japanese 5 star ryokan, this is the spot. They took care of everything from telling me how to book transportation to picking us up and dropping us off at the bus stops. Service was perfect. Food was excellent and an amazing zen vibe throughout the whole hotel.

Our stay here was the highlight of our 9 day trip in Japan. We decided to stay here for its proximity to the Nakasendo trail we would be hiking the next day. This is a very traditional Ryokan. The location is in the countryside. Achi is a village located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The food provided was a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast that was spectacular! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Every member of the staff that we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. In fact, we missed our bus connection from Nagiso station which was the last bus and we called them to ask for suggestions. They called us back and provided us with an alternate bus stop and sent their driver to pick us up there. They turned a very stressful situation around for my family and I.

Stayed one night on 11 April. Service was great. Room was big, clean and tidy. As i filled in the check-in form, I wrote down the date of birth. As my birthday was few days later, I received a special greeting during dinner. And I received a letter written by a staff, An, expressing grateful for me choosing this hotel and wishing me happy birthday again. I felt so warm and surprising about that.
