Our festive stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok was memorable, with a fantastic welcome by the ever-energetic Jean Marc, who truly stood out among the staff and embodied the hotel’s spirit. The room was impeccable. Facilities were excellent, and staff generally helpful. We particularly enjoyed the boat trip to Ilot Mangénie. The buffet, while satisfactory, lacked the exceptional touch one might expect from a resort of this calibre. While the recent renovations have refreshed the property, it felt as though some aspects still required refinement. As a 5-star-plus resort, we anticipated a more personalized service experience and elevated dining from one of the island’s most highly rated hotels.. Nonetheless, it was a memorable and enjoyable stay, with moments of excellence that hint at the full potential of the Shangri-La name.

Our stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius (2025) was truly beyond exceptional — heartfelt, personal, and deeply memorable. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the entire team made us feel instantly at home. One person who truly stood out was Stacy from the Host Team. Her care, energy, and dedication were unmatched. She went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were comfortable and happy, often anticipating our needs before we even asked. Her presence genuinely made our stay special, and she deserves all the recognition for her outstanding service. The concierge team was also amazing, offering excellent recommendations and taking care of all our bookings and activities with efficiency and grace. The dedicated WhatsApp service was incredibly convenient — fast, responsive, and always handled with a personal touch. Every request, from spa bookings to small daily needs, was managed flawlessly. Our room was spacious, serene, and beautifully maintained — the perfect escape in paradise. The beach team made every activity fun and easy, and the culinary experience, especially at TSK, was filled with warmth, flavor, and care. Shangri-La Mauritius is more than a resort — it’s a place where people truly care. Every staff member left a positive impression, and we’re so thankful for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay overall, and several team members truly stood out for their exceptional service. Mr. Sada at reception was very friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. Chef Luca personally came to take notes regarding my babies’ food requirements, which I deeply appreciated. Chef Ahmad was extremely helpful during both breakfast and dinner, and Mrs. Nicole at breakfast was warm and welcoming every morning. Jean-marc also showed outstanding hospitality and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. There is, however, room for improvement in two areas: Unfortunately, housekeeping fell short of expectations. Toiletries were often not replenished, and we had to request them daily. It was also surprising to find that opened toiletries were left as-is without being cleaned or arranged, and housekeeping seldom arrived on time. Similarly, the service from the restaurant waitresses could be improved. They were generally slow and not very attentive, which stood in contrast to the otherwise excellent service we received throughout the hotel. Despite these issues, the overall experience was outstanding thanks to the incredible staff mentioned above, and we truly appreciated their care and attention.
