Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa

Splendid property. Very beautifully conceived. Sprawling manicured lawns. On the beach (which is very clean). Rooms are pretty large and luxurious. Golf carts to take you from lobby to rooms (but you’d love to take walk to your rooms, it’s very well accessible from several directions). Food is also superb. Staff & service is excellent. Would love to come back soon for yet another memorable stay.

The Reef buffet restaurant at Sheraton Grand Chennai sounds like an awesome spot! 🌊 Here are some of the *Good Things* about it: Highlights - *International Cuisine*: The Reef serves up international cuisine with a focus on freshly prepared dishes. - *Stunning Views*: You get to enjoy stunning views of the beach and the Bay of Bengal. - *Buffet Options*: There's a buffet with live stations, a salad bar, pizza oven, and a dessert counter with 21 varieties. - *Ambiance*: The restaurant has a calm ambiance with lovely decor, light wooden furniture, and touches of orange, yellow, and red. - *Service*: Guests rave about the hospitable and attentive staff.

We drove down to Sheraton Grand, Mahabalipuram from Bangalore for an Anniversary getaway. Having enjoyed their Sunday brunches in the past, this time wanted to stay in the property and experience the luxury of the Marriott stay! And oh boy! This was the best decision made!! The property is located on the ECR main road, right next to the Madras Crocodile Bank. Can be easily located on the Google Maps. We were welcomed with the shell garland and easy checkin process. Being a Marriott Bonvoy member we were upgraded to the Garden Sea View Room. The room was spacious, with all the amenities quite signature to the Sheraton brand. Spic & Span Room / Washroom with Bathtub, reading nook, lounge chair and balcony with the furniture. Couldn’t find any loophole! Brilliant stay with amazing service! The property has a private beach, where every evening a complimentary high-tea is arranged. One can enjoy the Healthy edibles with tea/coffee along with the sea breeze in the evening. For food - they have a Multicuisine restaurant called The Reef - where the breakfast buffet is also served. Brilliant spread, impeccable service and the Chefs on board take every little extra care for you to enjoy the time dining over there. Kudos! To Chef Kathiresan, Chef Isaac & Chef Dev for making our each and every meal dined at the restaurant memorable!!! C-Salt - is their southern coastal restaurant open only for dinners serving the best seafood!! If you are a seafood lover, do not miss dining here!!! We also opted for a room dine-in on one of the days. Ordered in Chicken Mei Goreng & Chicken Dum Biryani. The Dum Biryani was out of the world!!! Also similar to the Dum Pukht’s of ITC. If you know what the real deal is!!! Overall, had a brilliant stay with memories packed for a lifetime!!! Only wish, they had a bar open by the beachside like their neighbours next door! 😉
