Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland

Spent two nights here as part of a tour and was very happy with it. Hotel itself is well maintained, our group was welcomed with cold drinks and snacks and quickly given our room keys. Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was included and it was delicious. The pool looked great but we did not use it. Buffet dinner included on our final night was very good. The location is perfect with almost everything you want to see being within walking distance.

Overall happy with this stay. The pool is great for swimming, the jacuzzi very relaxing. Love the plants in the lobby which adds a nice touch. There is great artwork around the hotel showcasing Newfoundland which I appreciated. The welcome gift instead of a choice given was all the choices. I reminded the reception about remembering to provide the option to the guest upon check in but overall it was a great check in and I was happy with the breakfast in the lounge, the chocolate amenity in the room and the welcome points posted correctly after the stay. Unfortunately there was no service in the lounge in the evening so we were given vouchers to use at the lobby restaurant which I don't think was the best experience but we tried some local seafood which was great. The amenity chocolates given were really good we ended up looking for the place to buy more. The room itself was great and we were given an upgrade to a room facing the sea which had a wonderful view. Overall the Sheraton is my favorite Marriott property in Newfoundland and we stayed at all 4 of them.

Nice enough place with a good restaurant. My only real complaint was the fitted sheets were too small for the bed. We had two different rooms this pas week, same issue.. the sheet pops off the mattress if you're a restless sleeper. Not very sterile. I feel this hotel could do better here. If this weren't an issue the room would be 5 star.
