SK Royal Moscow

Nice hotel. Teapot and fridge upon request. Fire alarm has bin triggered in the late evening by mistake and we were forced to leave for a few minutes, but staff said everything is OK, so we came back. Overall I recommend the hotel.

There are some good things about the hotel - the receptionist were friendly, the room is very big and it is located next to a shopping mall. However, the room were not very clean and caused allergy, we had 3 people staying in the room but only two sets of towels and water. For breakfast all the other locals had a choice off from menu but we were only given whatever they gave us after a 30 minute wait. Lastly only when we were about to leave did we receive the passcode for Wi-Fi sent from the system. It was the most disappointing experience we had in hotels during our Russia trip (it didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel compared to other 4-star in St. Petersburg), but since it was only for one night it was ok.

Friendly staff and fast check-in and check-out. The room was huge comparing to other hotels that I stayed in around the world. However, SK Royal Hotel is an outdated hotel. There is neither 4G/3G connection nor WiFi signal in the 23rd floor! TV cable has 6 or 7 Russian channels only. The hotel is far away from Moscow downtown and there is no attraction activities nearby. In some days, we couldn't have breakfast due to the served food was not enough for all guests!
