Smart Voxx Resort Hotel

We have just returned from our stay here, all staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. The children and Grandchildren loved there holiday. Food was nice enough for what it was. Hotel itself was a bit run down, key cards kept on not working, wouldn't of minded too much but we were on the 4th floor with young children so was a pain to keep going downstairs to get a new key card. Really can't say a bad word about our stay as it was a lovely holiday.

We spent 7 days here, very mixed feelings about the place. Food is awful, this was our biggest issue and ended up eating out most days, if the food improved it wouldn’t be a bad hotel for the price. Keycards need to constantly be reset as they stop working. The lifts broke down 4 times during our stay, one person was stuck in the lift for 45mins. Pool is good & kids had fun in there, however around the pool is very slippery, quite a few people slipped, they need to address this. During our stay a very intoxicated man was walking round shouting/swearing at people (including kids) this lead to another holiday maker squaring up with him at the pool in front of the children, staff acted promptly but it wasn’t the nicest experience. Rooms are basic but not bad. Do not book excursions through the hotel rep, they are very expensive, if you walk down the road Batman excursions will sort you out, very good service & price. Staff are fantastic and act quickly to resolve any issues and make the best of what resources they have. Entertainment is spot on & the entertainment team work their socks off! Would we return? Very unlikely.

The room was cleaned only by making the beds. The bathroom was cleaned only twice during my nine-day stay after reporting it at reception. Bathroom cleaning consisted of scrubbing the toilet with liquid soap, and the shower wasn't even touched for nine days. Towels were changed three times. The shower grout was covered in mold and not washed even once during my stay. The shower head was broken. The patio doors were broken and stayed open even after closing. A disaster.The pool area is full of plastic alcohol cups and cigarettes on the floor. The children's pool has damaged railings missing several pieces, and the railings around the pool are wobbly. There are a lot of sharp, unsecured edges. The tiles are cracked and unsecured. Children's feet were cut, which I witnessed. It's a threat to health and life. The manager is aggressive and rude. Everything has been reported, and nothing has been done.There was no ice every day at 40 degrees Celsius, the bar was dirty, sticky, and smelled of spilled beer. The food was the same every day, unhygienic, and served in an outdoor restaurant where no one cleaned it all week. The floors, tables, and chairs were covered in food, drinks, and dirt. It was filthy and smelly.There's someone in the hotel who's going around the rooms stealing things. I witnessed guests talking to the front desk about things being stolen from the room.I've noticed that after every negative review, you all get defensive about how great this hotel is. You should start cleaning and completely renovating the facility, without endangering the health and lives of your children and guests. If this is standard for you, I pity you, because for a European, it's a complete mess and filth. For me, this hotel doesn't even deserve one star. Filthy
