Sochi Marriott Krasnaya Polyana Hotel

It is one of the best hotels in Sochi, and in all Russia. It is at an ideal location and the service is excellent; and the breakfast is very delicious all of the staff are friendly and helpful; ask for this lady in the reception ; her name is "Kristina" she is so helpful . Only few comments: The hotel is extremely busy, and the housekeeping team should be increased because cleaning the room takes longer than usual. During breakfast, the restaurant staff have to constantly remove empty dishes.

I am already 10 years Marriott Gold member, never had any problems with upgrade (as long as it was available) and late check out...but not on Marriott Krasnaya Polyana, they said that I wasn’t able to get this time because I didn’t book through them. Our room wasn’t cleaned for 3 from 5 nights we stayed there. The tours agency that is inside the hotel was the worst I ever experienced. They call Junny tours if I’m not wrong. All the workers in the hotel are polite (besides the fact that they don’t speak English unfortunately). Breakfast is also very good. I would give 5 stars if they would give some respects for gold members, but as a gold member would give maximum 1 Star.

Certainly not a 5 star hotel not sure who rated it, to start I feel like I'm going to catch a flight with all the security and metal detectors, it have me a bad impression from the second I saw it. Rooms are Marriot standard, cheap materials but well kept. The staff is not the friendliest, breakfast is below average for what is to be expected, although I must say the desserts are very premium that is one thing I enjoyed a lot from my stay. Room service is slow but good quality. Gym is above average very well maintained and excellent equipment. Spa was average and finally the pool I didn't get to personally use but from what I've heard it's impressive. I would give a solid 3 stars but because of the annoying entrance security check I dropped one star, a hotel guest shouldn't have to dread having to pass a full airport security check when going to his/her hotel.
