Sofia Colombo City Hotel

We stayed at Sofia Colombo on 13–14 June 2025 and had a pleasant experience. The staff were very professional and even surprised us with a beautiful cake for our wedding – thank you! The food was good, though a bit sweet for my taste, and the restaurant service was slightly slow. However, the coffee was excellent – we requested it as our welcome drink, and they delivered just as we asked. The rooftop infinity pool and the view from the lobby were absolutely stunning. Overall, it was a great stay!

Our experience at Sofia Colombo Hotel was truly memorable, thanks to the outstanding hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The lunch buffet was a highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with a wide selection of dishes to suit every palate. A special thank you to Ms. Nathani, who greeted us with genuine warmth upon arrival. She later checked in to ensure we were satisfied with our meal and graciously offered us a tour of the hotel, including the stunning rooftop area. We highly recommend Sofia Colombo Hotel for both its exceptional service and excellent cuisine.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night, and overall, it was a nice experience. The staff, especially the front desk team, were wonderful—friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms were well-maintained and generally very clean, which made my stay comfortable. However, I was extremely disappointed when I lifted the toilet seat and found uncleaned residue (what appeared to be dried urine or worse) underneath. This was a major hygiene issue that shouldn’t have been overlooked by housekeeping. For a hotel that otherwise maintains high cleanliness standards, this was unacceptable. Aside from this unpleasant discovery, everything else was great—comfortable bed, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. If housekeeping pays closer attention to detailed cleaning, this hotel would be nearly perfect. Rating: 3.5/5 (Deducted for the toilet cleanliness issue) Would consider staying again but hope for better attention to hygiene next time.
